Home

To start things off, Alaska was simply the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in my life.  I learned so much about myself on this journey and grew so much as a person.  It is nice to be back home in Atlanta and seeing my friends and family.   At the same time I miss the people and friends that I made in Alaska.  I now have friends all over the U.S.A.  That is a really awesome feeling.  Alaska is the most beautiful place I have ever seen with my own two eyes.  The mountains there are amazing, the rivers are gorgeous, the whole scenery of Alaska will be set in my mind forever.  Home just does not really seem like home right now.   I feel like my home is still in Alaska.  I really hope I can have the proper funds to make it back next summer.  I found the career that I want to pursue.  That is cooking, it is extremely fun for me because I can be creative and make people happy with food.  My next few months at home will be trying to find different restaurant jobs and trying to gain more experience in the culinary industry before I go to a culinary school to get a degree so I can hopefully one day be a chef.  That is my goal at the present time.  I hope the readers of this page had an amazing summer.  I sure as hell did.
